Step Thirteen: Final Highlight on the Claws. I selected Delta Dreamcoat Antique White for the last highlight texture for the claws. This step required a very steady hand with a #000 brush or alternately a #10/0 brush. I prefer using the #000 brush because it is easier to load an adequate amount of paint into. The #10/0 is so small that often times if the paint is not mixed perfectly it will dry between the seconds it takes to load the brush and to apply the paint. Remember to always leave a thin stripe of the underlying color. This technique becomes harder as the highlights become brighter. The antique white has a slight yellow tint to it which compliments the underlying goldenrod and sandstone colors nicely.
Step Fourteen: Final Highlights on the Body. I selected Delta Dreamcoat White for the last highlight texture for the body. I changed my mixing/cleaning water in order to keep the white pure. When highlighting white I use minimalism. The less you highlight the more prominent the highlights become. Since I did not want to over highlight I only highlighted a few places on the main body and did not highlight the claws, teeth, feelers, eyes, or bony protrusions.
